What does a postnatal support doula do?
Postnatal support doulas focus on helping new parents in the days and weeks following the birth of a new baby. They provide practical and emotional support in a variety of ways. Initially, postnatal support might include help with household tasks such as cooking and shopping. It might involve looking after the baby for a while so parents can rest. Equally, a postnatal doula might entertain or look after older siblings. Additionally, a doula could provide support for infant feeding, sleeping or health issues, signposting to other services or simply just being a listening ear.
Whatever your immediate needs, we are here to help and get you off to a great start as a new parent.
